Blog Title: Vulnerability Assessments are Network Security

April 21st, 2008 . by admin

If your business is not taking a proactive approach to network security with regular vulnerability assessments, your network could be vulnerable to an increasing number of malicious attacks. These online attacks often result in lost revenue, identity theft and pubic relations nightmares for both small and large web-based companies.

A web vulnerability assessment is how businesses can identify problems in online configurations and software coding that put your network at risk of an attack. So-called “SQL Injection attacks” and others make it possible to gain access to your confidential information, including administrator and client log-ins and passwords.

To be as certain as possible that your network security is adequate, the best option is to instigate a vulnerability assessment of your entire online infrastructure. This requires the use of vulnerability scanners and savvy experts who are up-to-date on current network attack exploits to test your firewall.

Web vulnerability scanners can identify programming errors and oversights that create holes in your online infrastructure; these automated “bots” can crawl all of your online applications and perform assessments of many variables at once for difference servers. A process like this could take a human team weeks or even months to complete.

Hiring an experienced network security consultant is the best way to conduct a vulnerability assessment. Basically, you need an experienced individual who will think in much the same way as the hackers. For this reason, many network security consultants are also known as “ethical hackers.”

Vulnerability assessments are essential for any company with a web presence these days. Without learning where and how your web infrastructure is vulnerable, you are left to the mercy of an increasingly wide variety of online exploits and attacks. Scheduling regular network vulnerability assessments is the best way to ensure the security of your network, and protect your company’s image, reputation and income.

Choosing Your New Gutters

April 15th, 2008 . by admin

There are many aspects involved in choosing the perfect gutters for your home. You must consider the material, life expectancy, convenience and of course the price. Having a little information about the available models and materials can help you to choose with confidence. First, all gutters are either sectional or seamless. Seamless simply means that there are no joints. They are a continuous piece of guttering. Sectional gutters come in pieces and are installed as component systems. Virtually all gutters that are classified as do-it-yourself worthy are sectional. They are much simpler to install. The sections are generally around twenty feet each in length, although they can be shortened where needed. They snap into place with other pieces and into downspouts. The major disadvantage of using sectional gutters is that the seams can eventually produce leaks.

If you need gutters framingham ma contact david ness - A highly recommendable contractor

Seamless gutters never produces leaky seams simply because they contain no seams. They are not jointed together like sectional gutters. They join together only at the inside and outside corners and at downspout outlets. Seamless gutters can be made from aluminum, galvanized steel or copper and are designed with your home’s exact measurement needs. They are typically cut and installed on site, but normally require a professional installer or contractor simply because they have the tools and machines necessary to customize them to fit your home.
Along with choosing whether your gutters will be sectional or seamless you must also choose size, shape and color. There are several variations of each from different manufacturers. Determining beforehand what size and shape you need and what color you would like will help you when you either head to the home improvement store to purchase your gutters or when you contact your gutter contractor to have your gutters installed.

January 31st, 2008 . by admin

As the title suggests, I am currently starting to fill in applications for vacation scheme placements. I am finding this hard…particularly because I have only seen a couple of law firms that really stand out for me. I’ve attended talk after talk and yet I can still only really choose 3 law firms that I liked. I have been told to apply for 20!
Not only that, but when I look at the application I

Eva Mendes pats her naked ass in public

December 22nd, 2007 . by admin

Eva Mendes unveiled her new PETA ad today in Beverly Hills. She then pretended to pat her own sweet, naked ass which is sort of like watching one of my dreams come true. Now if only some of my other dreams would come to fruition, like being elected president or owning a house made of solid chocolate.

Vanessa Hudgens wishes she had teenage pregnancy

December 22nd, 2007 . by admin

Remember when Vanessa Hudgens was the squeaky clean teen star tarnished by nude photos that popped up on the Internet? I don’t either. But, anyway, I bet Vanessa, seen here leaving the gym yesterday, wishes she had gotten pregnant instead to shed her good-girl Disney image. Unfortunately, any attempt to have sex with her boyfriend Zac Efron ends in failure, tears and, for some odd reason, jazz hands!

Amy Winehouse is elegant

December 22nd, 2007 . by admin

Amy Winehouse, out on bail from her Tuesday arrest, visited her husband Blake Fielder-Civil in prison today. She attempted to pretty herself up in the backseat of a car before going in. And by attempted I mean completely failed. Then again, Amy’s got to try her best. Blake’s eyes have been wandering to a bank robber whose face was melted off in a fire. Her husband’s gotten so superficial (!) since he went to prison. It’s all about looks now.

Criss Angel behind Pamela Anderson's almost-divorce

December 22nd, 2007 . by admin

Everyone’s favorite douchebag magician Criss Angel was the spark that ignited the near-divorce between Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon, according to Page Six:

Spies in Las Vegas say Anderson spent Dec. 8, the night before her final performance with magician Hans Klok, “cozying up to” publicity-loving illusionist Criss Angel at club LAX. Pictures were taken, gossip was spread - and Salomon “hit the roof when he found out Pam was hanging out with Criss while he was off at a poker tournament. They had a huge fight.”

It’s sad Criss Angel got stuck in the middle of Pam and Rick’s doomed-from-the-start marriage. I actually respect Criss. He’s the only guy who realizes you need to wear two jackets to get laid in this town. One time I wore three jackets to a club then passed out from heat exhaustion. That did not get me laid. Unless you count the tray of drinks I landed on. In which case, it was a four-way.
